This experiment investigated the technique “virtual worlds“, which enables people that are in different physical locations to come together and communicate with each other in a shared virtual space. Information that is available and shared in this virtual world can be made persistent and communication can be done with chat or 3D audio. Other tools such as presentation screens, whiteboards, 3D models and documents are also available for the users in the virtual world.
