In this experiment, the central questions were (a) how to process data from many different operational systems and sensors in the field, under varying conditions and in different locations, and (b) how to transform all this data into meaningful conclusions. Issues such as the quality of the source data, the analytical techniques to be used or the methods for processing these streams of data were subject of this investigation, in which we used a real-world system as a practical example.
