IoT Practicewas an experiment with an IoT-platform called ThingWorx (by PTC) in the context of building a Smart Design and Manufacturing Network (SDMN). In a SDMN, machines, production systems, data analytics tools, simulation engines and databases can communicate with each other. This data-sharing across the entire value chain enables better and faster decision-making, based on reliable, real-time and in-process data.
